Donate Someone Else's Organs...

So, let's get this straight. People are convincing themselves that it's a good thing to donate the baby's organs for medical research. So, I've heard of donating "our own" organs. Many are organ donors and we each make that call for ourselves. But when has it become acceptable to donate organs from another person? Oh wait, we have decided that the unborn are NOT persons. The inconsistent logic is overwhelming.

The pro-choice mantra of a woman controlling her own body conflicts with the argument in donating "fetal tissue" or "the baby's organs" to help others. This certainly would alleviate a guilty conscience. But, how does the mantra conflict?

The conflict arises when claims of controlling one's own body reveal the fine line promoted by "choicers" as false. The unborn are no more the "body" of their mother than any other individual on the planet. We are all separate individuals. Try as we might, refusal to acknowledge this simple fact to support abortion will never change this reality.

Island of Unwanted Children

No child should ever feel unwanted. My mind goes back to the Island of Unwanted Toys from the old Rankin/Bass "stop motion animation" classic, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. The world has effectively created an Island of Unwanted Children. A fantasy? Unfortunately for greater than 55,000,000 lost children since Roe vs. Wade in the US alone, it is closer to a reality. But, that reality falls on deaf ears.

These 55 million people will never experience the American Dream. No life, no first steps. No first words. No first day of school. No graduation. No marriage. No children of their own - our grand children. Our fastidious society is no longer concerned with relegating unwanted children to orphanages. Now, the easy "ultimate solution" is Out of sight, out of mind. Seems familiar. Can you guess which historical era aligns closely to our current world view?

The silence is deafening.

Back to the ClassWomb

"If abortion is the answer, it must be a really stupid question." - unknown

I recall having a conversation with a good friend many years ago that the choice of abortion is the most selfish act one can make. Many will argue that their life will be much better without a child complicating the picture. They convince themselves that they are not ready to be a parent - they are already a parent. Quite frankly, the camp is simply pro-poor choice. We all have choices. We choose to help our brothers and sisters in life or we choose to ignore others in need.

My biggest gripe is that I am being asked to support poor choices under the guise of individual rights. Selfish choice is nothing to be lauded. One is delusional to righteously choose to destroy another human being... their own child no less.

Baby-cide

These days many choicers have shifted to a flat-out-me-first mentality. At least they are being honest with themselves and the world. First rule is "do no harm" - a far cry from Christ's teaching to love thy neighbor but certainly a worthy goal.

Save the Babies America

Take note. The babies are our future.
