Hyde Amendment + + +

The womb is not a mythical place. To a degree, perhaps mystical. But, faith alone does not tell us that life in the womb is inherently worthy. Science confirms!!! However, the "not seen and not heard" seems to have a firm hold. Pray for our lawmakers that they may pass legislation that protects all those in need.

The "Health Scare" Bill goes to the Senate...and things get ugly all over again. The loss of the innocents continues.

The Worst Discrimination is a Hidden Discrimination

Are the last vestiges of discrimination silenced before they are seen? Are more lives lost when they are lives of color? Ask where are most abortion clinics located? Ask what percentages of abortions occur in African American groups and Hispanic groups? You do the research. You answer the questions. My bet is that you will not like what you find.

Preservation Strategy in the Womb

Wannababies strives to prompt genuine dialogue regarding LIFE issues with, of all things, humor. Here, I offer a potential strategy to avoid threats on life within the womb. If a single life can be saved,...

Current HealthSCARE

If the dollars scare you, how might an innocent unborn life feel? Wannababies seeks to not make the womb a tomb. Pray that some compromise is available and that our elected officials can see that light.

Optimism Short Lived

My optimism was very short-lived. Life remains a target in the womb as long as our politicians play games in semantices with LIFE.

I remain cautiously optimistic regarding the passage of the next step towards a national health care plan. The legislation does include the Stupak Amendment which bars federal funding of abortion as part of the health care reform package. I pray only that it is not simply a pretext. Stay vigilant.

Pickles and ice cream!! Oh my!! Of course, there is always somebody else in the equation. Unfortunately, this may also be viewed as "collateral damage." In the latter case, this is certainly not acceptable.

Grabbing at the Headlines

This week's cartoon panel is ripped from the headlines!! Is it Harry Houdini's first attempt to escape from the womb? Who will be the first to make the connection? Who's mind is traveling the same path thi...s week? Yes, inquiring minds want to know... www.wannababies.com

Those that argue that the Right to Life challenges women's rights to reproductive freedom I consider to be delusional. Cases of violence against women are independent of Life choices and are always abhorrent in their own right. No violence to women should ever be tolerated. But never forget, abortion is an extreme violence against innocent Life. We must all work together to end abortion.

There are plenty of Henry David Thoreau's around today. Our problem is that we fail to hear them.

Privacy vs Secrecy

The "right to privacy." Is it real or manifested by a society driven by conflicted objectives in the experiment known as "freedom?"

Is it really "privacy" and, if it is, how is it that it can outweigh our individual right to life? In a society of equals, no one person's rights outweigh the rights of another.

Gestures from within the womb.

It is tough not to allow emotion into a heated discussion. But, clear communication should not be clouded by emotion which subsides. Life demands no less.

Violence is Violence

Regardless of who yields the sword, violence is not the answer. Wannababies seeks to expand communication. This is the first post for (hopefully) a continuing effort in blogging for Life.

Roe vs Don King

Wannababies (c) 2009 is a pro-life cartoon panel I have been doing for several years. I update the web page weekly to the best of my ability, hurricanes and earthquakes excepted.

This week I've added a fun panel (my contention is that true discussion on life begins without anger in the equation) suggesting that situations may be different if it had been Roe vs Don King instead of Roe vs Wade. Did lawyers argue the wrong point?

Additionally, I added a panel reflecting life coming from God. Why then is it that we consider any situation acceptable to take that life? My perspective is not focused solely on my Catholic faith, however strong that may be. My Life position is also based on established facts without being confused by emotions. I leave my success in that area to you, the reader.

Please share your thoughts. See the most current panels at www.wannababies.com.
