Optimism Short Lived

I remain cautiously optimistic regarding the passage of the next step towards a national health care plan. The legislation does include the Stupak Amendment which bars federal funding of abortion as part of the health care reform package. I pray only that it is not simply a pretext. Stay vigilant.
